Chad works for Lenovo, where he has been for 21 years after serving 6 years in the Navy and returning to Duke for his MBA. He and Melanie have been residents of Durham since 2001, and lived here except for several years when Chad was on international assignments in Beijing. Chad enjoys travel, craft beer, playing beach volleyball, watching soccer, and getting together with friends.

Landis is a recovering North Carolina trial lawyer of 35 years who now writes mysteries and legal thrillers. He attended Davidson College and Wake Forest Law School. Landis and Janet moved to Durham from their long time Charlotte home to be near their grandson. Besides writing and reading, he enjoys golf, travel, fishing, and spending time in the mountains and at the beach. |

Elizabeth has worked in criminal justice for 50 years as a police detective, Regional Director of the Florida Parole Commission, and the last 20 years as a consultant with U.S.DOJ as a national SME in the prevention and investigation of civil rights abuses of incarcerated persons. Elizabeth has BS (Soc) from Virginia Tech, and graduate studies (Crim Jus) at Florida International University. Elizabeth and Jim moved to Durham 2 years ago to be close to their daughter and family, including their 2 grandchildren. Elizabeth enjoys being with friends, playing piano, reading, writing, and volunteering with Jim.
